2012 Summer Camps

Join us for Summer Camps ages 5-14, which are offered from June 25 – August 24.

The goal of each camp is for every child and teenager to finish the physically active course with new friends, a peaked interest in theatre arts, an improved ability to perform, and increased self-confidence. For each age group, the camp will culminate in a performance which gives each student the opportunity to shine as part of a singing and dancing ensemble.

2012 Counselor-In-Training Program

We are excited to announce Broadway Bound’s new CIT program for the summer of 2012. CITs will volunteer in classrooms for a minimum of 4 weeks (with one week of mandatory training), and in exchange learn skills to help them develop as actors, dancers, singers, and teaching artists.

June 25 – 29 will be a full week of CIT training, during which CITs will learn skills to gain campers attention, teach dance, acting, singing, and improvisational games, fill down time to keep students focused, and be leaders in the camp classroom and with their peers.

During the following 8 weeks, CITs will assist in classrooms for students 5 – 7, 8 – 10, and 11 – 13, and have the opportunity to work with a range of mentor teachers. They will participate in weekly staff and CIT training meetings. At least bi-weekly, there will be master classes in musical theatre for CITs after regular camp hours. Additionally, school credit for volunteer hours is available.

This selective program is open by application and interview, the Camps Manager. We will accept a maximum of 10 CITs this year. Please email office@broadwaybound.org or call 206-526-5437 for an application or more information before April 15, 2012. If selected, you will be contacted for an interview after April 15th.

We look forward to seeing you this summer!
