MAINSTAGE SHOWS
Every fall and spring, students sign up for a 12 to 14-week after school program which culminates in several evening and matinee performances in a Seattle theatre filled with an audience of family, friends, and other community patrons. Student actors are supported by professional directors, choreographers, musical directors, stage managers and designers. They perform in wireless microphones supported by live professional musicians, in wonderful costumes and in front of elaborately constructed and lit scenery.
Due to the number of participants, several full casts are formed. Rehearsals are held two days per week, from 4:00 – 6:00pm at the Broadway Bound studios in the University Heights Community Center. Rehearsals move to the theatre for the week before opening, and the technical and dress rehearsals that week generally run Monday thru Thursday from 4:00 – 9:00pm.
