The Teen Program at Broadway Bound!

In addition to casting teens in our older casts of our productions, we offer several additional opportunities throughout the year for teens.

GLEE CHOIR

We have an elite show choir, The Broadway Bound Singers, open by audition only that we feature at various events and performances around the Seattle area. More info here.

SUMMER STOCK

In the Summer of 2010 we will bring back our highly regarded Teen Summer Stock production, which will be a fully produced premier of an original musical that reaches across cultural and religious boundaries to promote global unity, acceptance of diversity, and connection with the spirituality within us and in the world around us. The musical holds up the mirror and lets us view the reflection of ourselves and our world as seen through the eyes of a child. By showing us our commonality through our differences it moves us toward understanding, healing and hope that we can share this planet and live in peace while celebrating together our sameness as well as our diversity. Broadway Bound will engage several cultural organizations in the Seattle community, to allow for the participation of singers, dancers and musicians representing diverse backgrounds.

TEEN PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM

On January 15, 2010 nine young emerging artists, chosen after city wide auditions, performed in concert with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Moore Theatre. A Broadway Symphonic Spectacular was attended by over 700 people, and honored the American musical theatre. This opportunity, to learn from Broadway performers and to sing with a nationally recognized 100 piece orchestra on the stage at the Moore Theatre, is an unparrelled opportunity in Seattle for teen artists.
